George currently serves as a Global Process Owner within the Finance Operations Group at Microsoft. His role encompasses over 300 global entities, 120 Countries, and seeks to ensure compliance and control across tax filings globally. Recognized as a leader in change management and post-merger integrations, George has executed over 50 mergers in both middle-market, private equity, buyer financed, and global corporations. George has streamlined the change management process across the human resources, information technology, and finance areas in acquisitions and is recognized for his ability to bring clarity to ambiguous, stressful events. George has done extensive work in manufacturing, professional services, consumer goods, and technology sectors, and has shifted the view of change management from “teach them how to fish” to “guide them through the process”. George regularly publishes articles on change management, merger integration, project management, and leading difficult change. As an accomplished business owner and leader, George focuses on delivering the right things for the right reasons and adding value through accountability to all stakeholders across the organization. George also is an active and engaged member of the community. His efforts and volunteer work for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Northwest Louisiana Rugby Foundation, and many other charities reflect his desire to insure and empower the community to drive change in lives that most need help. His unique perspective as the son of both a Vietnam Veteran and 30 Year Career Navy Dad bring insight into the real impact on spouses and dependents of our transitioning service members.
