Edmonds Store Hosts Book Signing for Mike Schindler’s Critically Acclaimed Book, Operation Military Family, on May 3rd
April 2014, Edmonds, WA – Mike Schindler, author of Operation Military Family, will greet fans of his critically acclaimed book at a signing event at the Edmonds Book Shop on Saturday, May 3rd, from 12:30 to 2:00 pm in downtown Edmonds. The success of Schindler’s book led the Navy veteran to launch the company Operation Military Family and its non-profit branch, OMF Cares, to better support military families through the stress of transition from deployment to civilian life.
Operation Military Family follows several families prior to deployment, during deployment, and through transition. The couples share how they overcame many of the challenges faced by today’s military families during the stress of transition, and refute the common belief that military marriages cannot survive military life. Their stories and the resources contained within the book provide military families with a road map to begin their own journey toward a strong, successful relationship. The book has been endorsed by military leaders around the country, including General Tommy Franks, former Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Central Command, and U.S. Army General Pete Chiarelli.
